SCCS Curriculum Description
The curriculum and instruction in Social Circle City Schools (SCCS) is based on the Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) to provide rigorous and equitable learning opportunities for all students. The challenging curriculum standards outline performance expectations for students in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies and pathways for CTAE courses. High quality instruction based on the GSE prepares students with the critical thinking skills needed for college and career success.
SCCS is committed to continually providing challenging and equitable learning opportunities for all students. Monitoring of results, collaborative planning and professional learning are components of our school improvement processes that promote continued success for all students. In addition, SCCS participates in the annual needs assessment and equity planning process to ensure equitable access to effective educators for all SCCS students.
